LEWIS Capaldi has announced a surprise gig for his Glasgow fans.

The Someone You Loved singer will perform at Glasgow’s Argyle Street HMV store on May 21.

The show sold out in ‘under a second’ according to Capaldi who shared the news on Twitter.

Posting to his 1.4 million followers he said: “All done in under a second. much like my love making.”

Fans were quick to reply to the chart-topping singer to share their support and excitement.

One fan said: “So proud of you!”

A second fan said: “You make me laugh!”

A third fan said: “Okay! Look at you go mate!”

A fourth fan said: “Was sad I missed out, I had waited in the queue but it sold out.”

He also has teased a similar ’short notice’ announcement for Edinburgh fans which he ’should be announcing today’.

The Glasgow show comes in addition to the previously announced Behind The Music shows with independent record stores around the county.

22/5 - Nottingham The Level - 6pm and 9pm (with Rough Trade)

24/5 - Bristol Marble Factory - 6pm and 9pm (with Rough Trade)

Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent will be released on May 19.
