TRAINS are cancelled on one line after a vehicle crashed into a bridge in Glasgow.

ScotRail warned customers that the services between Glasgow Central and Neilston are not running after the incident.

Engineers will examine the structure to make sure it is safe.

This comes just a day after 10 people were injured when a bus crashed into a bridge on Cook Street.

ScotRail updated customers at 5pm to say that disruption caused by th incident has ended.

In a statement, the transport company said: "We've had reports of a vehicle striking a bridge in the Muirend area.

"The bridge will need to be examined by engineers before services can pass over the bridge again.

"Glasgow Central/Neilston services will be cancelled until we can be sure it’s safe for them to resume."

Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
