A CYCLIST has been left fighting for his life after he was hit by a car. 

We previously reported emergency services were called to Fielden Street at its junction with Fielden Place at around 8.40am on Monday, May 29 following a report of a serious crash involving a cyclist and a grey Audi A3. 

The 64-year-old male cyclist was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

His condition has been described as critical. 

An investigation into the incident is underway and police are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch. 

Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: "Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.

"In particular, if you have dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation then please make contact with us.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0737 of Monday, May 29."
