Glasgow-based rapper Bemz is hosting a football tournament as a way to raise money for a men’s mental health charity.

The Celtic daft musician will take part in the first M4 Cup tournament on Saturday, June 17 to fundraise for the Brothers in Arms charity. The charity looks to raise awareness and provide free support for men to manage their wellbeing.

The rapper, who has stated he struggled with his mental health at one point, will be donating 50 per cent of the money raised to the charity as well as donating the other half to the winner of the tournament.

Every donation over £10 accepted on GoFundMe will automatically be entered into a raffle where prizes are up for grabs.

Bemz said: “Mental health is a cause that’s close to my heart.

“As someone who grew up in an environment where it wasn’t big for us to speak about feelings as men, it has led to a lot of people close to me as well as me suffering in silence.

“Doing this will hopefully help us fight the cause and try to change the narrative.”

The tournament is set to kick off at 12pm on Saturday at the Goals in Shawlands with people invited to come down and watch the competition unfold.
