The winners of the first-ever Scottish Chippy Awards have been revealed with several winners hailing from Glasgow.

According to the Award's website, it has unveiled the "victors who have set new standards in the world of traditional Scottish cuisine."

The aim of the new awards is to celebrate "the rich heritage and excellence in the art of crafting delectable fish and chips."

A Spokesperson for The 1st Scottish Chippy Awards 2023 added: “These awards recognise the up-and-coming stars in the Scottish fish and chip scene. They acknowledge the fish and chip shops that go above and beyond, providing outstanding dining experiences in addition to their fantastic food.

"With a warm and inviting ambience, excellent customer service, and a diverse menu that extends beyond fish and chips, the 2023 winners have captured the hearts and taste buds of their patrons."
