A FORENSICS search of a Glasgow street is linked to an attempted murder investigation, cops have revealed.

We previously reported that officers had swooped on Mansionhouse Road in the city's Southside on Sunday afternoon.

The force told the Glasgow Times that this was to do with an ongoing investigation and that there was no risk to the wider public.

Police have now confirmed that the search was in relation to their investigation into the alleged attempted murder of a man in Pollok.

The 35-year-old was found with serious injuries on Ladymuir Crescent on Sunday, August 13.

We also reported previously that three men are due to appear in court in connection with the alleged incident.

Detective Inspector Phillip Kennedy said: “Three men – aged 34, 34 and 40 – have been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a man in Glasgow.

“The incident happened on Sunday, August 13, 2023, in the Ladymuir Crescent area of Pollok.

“All three are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, August 28, 2023, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

“Further enquiries into the attack remain ongoing and officers carried out a related search in the Mansionhouse Road and Langside Avenue area, on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

“At this time, I’d like to thank the public for their ongoing assistance.”
