The owner of a city clothes shop has been left feeling "unsafe" after thieves get away with "10k" worth of goods.
Apna Style, which is known for selling ladies' clothes on Cathcart Road in Govanhill, was broken into on the night of Tuesday, August 29.
Muhammad Kamran Butt, whose partner runs Apna style Accessories & Beauty Salon, says that he is devasted that this has happened and admits that he doesn't feel safe anymore.
Speaking to the Glasgow Times he said: "I am so devasted about losing all the clothes and items within the shop.
"It is shocking and it has caused us so much trouble in the last few days.
"Govanhill just doesn't feel safe anymore with things like this happening. It is just awful to see and experience.
"My partner has not slept since it happened and has been complaining of dizziness because of the worry.
"I do hope that the police's thorough investigation does catch whoever done this"
A worker within the shop who was opening the store discovered that the perpetrators made off with a number of expensive bags, shoes and clothes within the store.
After taking an inventory of the items, Muhammad confirmed that the loss of goods would be in the region of £10,000, something that they need to write off.
He said: "After accounting for everything there would be roughly ten grand worth of goods missing.
"It is definitely going to be something that we write off as we don't have insurance for the goods within the store."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.45pm on Wednesday, August 30 2023 we received a report of theft which happened at Cathcart Street in Glasgow. Enquiries are ongoing."
