SOUTH Lanarkshire Council is launching a community fund which offers up to £10,000 to local groups.
The local authority is offering grants from its Can Do Community Challenge Fund which is designed to support eligible community organisations as well as community councils.
The fund aims to address specific community needs which have been identified through consultation with their local communities and organisations have the opportunity to apply for grants of up to £10,000 to tackle these needs.
Whether organisations require revenue, capital funding, or a combination of both, the fund is a chance for local communities to shine and demonstrate its ‘Can Do’ spirit.
Interested organisations can access the online portal where registration can be completed.
All applications that meet the criteria will be moved to the next stage and applications will be reviewed and decided upon at the council’s four area committees.
The closing date for applications is January 31.
