Elderly residents in Rutherglen have benefited from cold weather packs from South Lanarkshire Council.
The local authority has given 15 elderly people from the Burnhill community packs designed to help reduce energy and food costs over the cold winter months.
Funding to create the packs came from the Corra Foundation, The Rotary Club and Clyde Gateway.
The project is part of South Lanarkshire Council’s Can Do Community scheme and has a focus on Burnhill.
Under the project the council sets out priorities under Our Place Our Plan to highlight the positive things going for the community of Burnhill which has been identified by residents.
Locals who would like to get involved in the project can contact 0303 123 1017 or email communities@southlanarkshire.gov.uk.
