Horrified bystanders watched a car burst into flames in the middle of the road this afternoon.
The vehicle was seen on fire on Mount Vernon Avenue in the east end of the city at around 4pm today.
Fire crews raced to the area to fight the blaze as shocked witnesses snapped pictures of the scene.
Huge black smoke clouds were spotted billowing from the car as massive orange flames ripped through it.
There are no reported injuries involving the incident at this time.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We responded to a call of a car on fire in Mount Vernon Avenue, Glasgow, at 16.01 on Tuesday.
"We mobilised one appliance to the scene and left the area at 16.41. There were no reported injuries."
Police Scotland were contacted for comment.
