Viewers of The Chase have branded The Beast a “plonker” after getting a Glasgow football question wrong.
The ITV game show star, whose real name is Mark Labbett, was asked 'which Glasgow football team plays at Firhill?' to which he replied "Kilmarnock".
Meanwhile the contestant's answer was "Celtic", however it was mispronounced as “Keltic” leaving some viewers shouting at their television.
The correct answer was Partick Thistle who have played their home games at Firhill Stadium ever since the ground opened in 1909.
Some viewers took to social media to share their thoughts by posting on the website X, formerly known as Twitter.
One person said: “Chaser answer "Kilmarnock!!!!’ you are a plonker.”
A second person said: “Didn't know Kilmarnock's not in Glasgow though ya smug doughnut.”
A third person said: “What Glasgow football team … ‘Keltic?’ [laughing emojis] Bravo The Chase.”
A fourth person said: “My team was mentioned on The Chase!”
The episode saw Bradley Walsh host the quiz show as four strangers - David from Stockport, Samantha from London, Tom from Manchester and Danae from Surrey came together in the hopes of taking down a Chaser.
