A fire in Bearsden has forced a popular restaurant to close.
Flames have ripped through Raja Rani this afternoon with emergency services on the scene.
Six fire engines were sent to tackle the blaze while police also attended offering support.
The restaurant said they were “very sad” about closing but “hope to reopen soon.”
Scottish Fire and Rescue services arrived on the scene at around 11.50am and are still fighting the blaze.
The restaurant said: “We are very sad to let you know that there has been a fire incident at the restaurant so we will remain closed today.
“We are working on mitigating the issue as swiftly as possible, and hope to reopen soon.
“Thank you for your understanding and keep us in your best wishes.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson said: “We received a call at 11.50am today about a fire in Bearsden.
“Six fire engines were sent to the area and currently remain on the scene.”
Police confirmed assisting with traffic management due to the fire on Kirk Road.
