With construction of the new campus currently underway, the school was in desperate need of new equipment as funding had been allocated to swimming lessons and educational outings.

Dr Gareth Jones, from the parent council, reached out to Barratt to see if the builder could offer any help. The cash has funded new basketball hoops, target games, target rugby belts and sports balls for tennis, table tennis, hockey, golf and football.

Dr Gareth Jones, parent chair of St Kevin’s Primary Parent Council, on behalf of the parent council, said: “This year we have provided extracurricular activities for the pupils at St Kevin's, such as swimming lessons and educational class outings.

"So the donation from Barratt Developments to upgrade the children’s sports equipment has been warmly welcomed and have been a huge hit with the pupils!

"We are very grateful and look forward to enjoying the benefits of a wide range of sports equipment.”
