A planning application submitted by East Renfrewshire Council to change the use of a former janitor’s house has been approved subject to conditions.
The plans propose turning the property into an additional education facility for Braidbar Primary School in Giffnock and the erection of an access ramp.
In August we reported that the council’s education department hoped to repurpose the former janitor’s house to become “a specialist safe location” for the local authority’s emotionally-based school absences (EBSA) service.
The application was signed off by planners provided development of the property begins no later than three years after permission was granted.
