A salon group with premises in East Renfrewshire has been named a cut above the rest at a prestigious ceremony in London.

Roar Hair and Beauty, which has a branch in Giffnock’s Fenwick Road, won six gongs at the 2023 Salon Awards, a contest recognising the crème de la crème of the industry at a local level.

Open to hair salons and individuals in all areas of the UK and Northern Ireland, finalists are shortlisted in regions before a winner in each category is chosen.

Brian Leo McCallum, owner of Roar, which also has salons in Muirend and Strathbungo, told the Glasgow Times: “To win six awards in this year’s Salon Awards is an incredible achievement for our salon and team.

“It’s really allowed us to end the year on a high and celebrate the success of our salons despite the many challenges businesses are facing in the current climate.”
