ITEMS which are believed to have been stolen from Glasgow have been uncovered during a vehicle stop near Gretna Green. 

The discovery comes after offering from the Lockerbie Road Policing Unit stopped a vehicle on the A74(M) near Gretna Services on Sunday, November 26. 

A large quantity of stolen items were found, including razor blade packs, toothbrush heads, earphones and alcohol. 

They are believed to have been stolen from the Glasgow or Dumfries and Galloway areas.

Two men, aged 37 and 51, have been arrested in connection and an investigation is underway. 

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. 

Constable Andrew Aitken, from Lockerbie Road Policing, said: "Whilst we are appealing for anyone with information, or if you believe you’ve been the victim of crime, to please come forward, we are also urging shopkeepers and staff to be vigilant against such high-value thefts.
