REPORTS of water 'coming up through the tarmac' on a busy Clydebank road have prompted an investigation.
Scottish Water confirmed it is aware of a leak on Chalmers Street at its junction with Alexander Street.
It comes after reports on social media claimed that water appeared to be coming up through the road.
A spokesperson for the utility firm revealed that teams are currently at the site conducting further investigations.
They said: “We have received a report of a water leak in Chalmers Street at Alexander Street, Clydebank and a Scottish Water operative is attending to investigate the matter further.
"We always encourage members of the public to report any leaks to us so they can be investigated."
