Selected pharmacies across Lanarkshire are providing free support to help locals to stop smoking.
NHS Lanarkshire has set up an online postcode checker to allow residents to find the nearest pharmacy that offers stop smoking support.
The ‘Quit Your Way’ programme offers a range of services and places an emphasis on support to help people stop smoking to increase the chances of quitting.
There are usually community pharmacies in each area, people can arrange to drop in on a day and time that suits them, and the services are convenient and flexible.
Those who attend their local community pharmacy can sign up to the 12-week support programme to access free stop-smoking products and weekly one-to-one sessions provided by trained pharmacy staff.
