Storm Isha has caused severe disruption across Glasgow and Scotland with trains and flights being suspended.

This comes after the Met Office issued an amber weather warning for Scotland, Northern Ireland and much of England on Sunday night.

The meteorological organisation said that the strong winds could pose a "danger to life" and warned of damage from flying debris.

With many Glaswegians waking up to the aftermath of last night's chaotic weather, many will be wondering when Storm Isha will end.

When will Storm Isha end as Glasgow battered by strong gusts?

According to the most recent update by the Met Office on X, formally known as Twitter, the storm is "now moving away" from Glasgow.

It said: "After a top gust of 99mph overnight, #StormIsha is now moving away However, it remains windy this morning with a yellow warning out for all until midday. Expect some disruption this Monday morning."

When the amber weather warning ends at around midday today, a new yellow weather warning will come into effect.

This will last from 12pm tomorrow (Tuesday, January 23) until around 12pm on Wednesday, January 24.

What can Glasgow expect amid new weather warning this week?

The Met Office states that from Tuesday evening, there could be more disruption across the city.

Speaking of the possible dangers, it said that damage to buildings is expected with tiles likely to be blown from roofs.

Power cuts are also predicted with this likely to affect mobile phone coverage.

There is also a risk of "injury and danger to life" from large waves and flying materials.
