Filming for the anticipated prequel of Outlander has been put on ice after Storm Isha battered a key West End location.
The spinoff series Blood of My Blood was due to start filming tomorrow in the West End but damage caused by falling trees forced production to delay.
It is understood that filming will resume around March but a date has not been confirmed. Sony Pictures Television has been contacted for comment.
A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council said: “Because of the weather forecast this week, the production made the decision to postpone this part of the filming."
Pictures from the scene show a large tree uprooted in the storm that fell and crushed a Grade A listed stone balustrade at the top of Kelvingrove Park at a key location.
We previously reported that multiple roads were due to close while the shooting took place.
Park Street South, Park Gate, Park Circus and several properties on Park Terrace and Park Gardens were included in the closures.

Set to air in 2025 after the final season of Outlander, Blood of My Blood is expected to focus on the love story of lead protagonist Jamie Frazer's parents.
Production has been tight-lipped over who has been cast in the new series though fans are hoping some favourite characters will return to the screen.
The series is expected to air in 2025.
