A Scotstoun vet centre has been awarded a bronze honour for its cat care quality by the International Society for Feline Medicine (ISFM).
McDonalds Vets provides care to feline patients through several specialised measures.
Julie Busby, a registered veterinary nurse, said: "I am thrilled that McDonalds Vets has achieved bronze status from the ISFM, which is an endorsement of our commitment to our feline patients.
"Our team is dedicated to ensuring our cat patients have a positive experience from the moment they enter the practice to the moment they leave."
Steps to improve care include a thorough understanding of pet remedies, recognising feline anxiety limits, provision of gabapentin before specific treatments, and creating a 'feline only' time once a week.
The practice also provides towels in the waiting area for owners to cover their cat’s basket.
McDonalds Vets is owned by Linnaeus, which is part of Pets’n’Vets.
Pets’n’Vets operates seven practices in the Glasgow area and further information can be found at https://www.petsnvets.org.
