TWO men have been arrested after ‘£12,000 of heroin’ and an offensive weapon were allegedly discovered in a car in Dumbarton.
Officers from Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, acting on intelligence, stopped a Peugeot travelling north on the A82 at around 12.40pm on Thursday, February 8.
Police said the occupants a 42-year-old man and 41-year-old man from England were detained and searched.
It is alleged that a quantity of heroin was recovered from the vehicle with a street value of approximately £12,000 as well as an offensive weapon.
Both were arrested and charged in connection with alleged drug and offensive weapon offences.
They were held in custody and expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Friday, February 9.
Police are reminding the public that they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and pass on any information anonymously to assist in the disruption of criminal activity.
