A Glasgow bus company has launched a range of streetwear collection will be made available to the public later this month.

First Glasgow's limited-edition streetwear collection is created in collaboration with a collection of Scotland's top creatives.

The product line, aimed at encouraging users under 22 to explore their city and surrounding areas with their free bus pass, includes a screen-printed t-shirt, a hand-stitched bucket hat, and a sling bag.

Boiiing, the artist behind the patterns featured in the collection, said: “When I start a design, I never know where it’s going to take me and how others will see it.

"When starting the ‘Free To Explore’ project, I began playing around with the composition and adding shapes to make it quiet abstract.

"In doing so, it means the pattern is open to interpretation and will mean different things to different people, which is what the ‘Free To Explore’ campaign is about."

The collection forms part of the bus operator's Free to Explore campaign, previously responsible for a 'nursery grime' music video, an eye-catching wings mural in Glasgow's Barras Market, and a surprise free set from rising musician ArchieCW.

The initiative also has a TikTok filter letting users virtually don the mural's colourful wings.

The collection will drop in a location set to be announced later this month on the company's social media channels.

Alec Farmer, founder of Trakke, said: "We are proud to partner with First Bus in creating a sustainable and stylish bag for the 'Free to Explore' collection.

"Our dedication to craftsmanship, sustainability and expression aligns seamlessly with the values of this campaign."

Carolyn Harper, senior marketing manager at First Glasgow, said: "We know that a bus company launching a clothing range is an unexpected move.

"We wanted to do something that would really stand out and connect with under 22’s and we’re very excited with the results of our latest collab. Grabbing their attention to highlight bus is the best way to explore their freedom.”

A follow-up 'drop' event will provide under 22s the opportunity to secure an item from the range for free.

More information will be released on First Glasgow’s Instagram and TikTok.
