Plans have been submitted to extend an existing dog exercise park just outside Barrhead.
Off The Lead Dog Park is situated just off Balgraystone Road next to the Dams to Darnley Car Park and those behind the park hope to considerably increase its size.
A proposal has been put forward for planning permission for a change of use of land to grow the park which was established in 2020.
It also proposes the creation of a roadway within the existing park to the proposed dog park extension, as well as a vehicle turning area and two additional parking bays within the proposed extension.
The plans, which were submitted in December, were validated by planners this month and are currently awaiting a final decision.
