A pharmacy has been left closed after a man was 'deliberately' hit by a motor on a busy street.

We previously reported the incident took place on Achamore Road in Drumchapel shortly after 11pm on Thursday, April 4.

999 crews rushed to the scene where a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital.

Medics have since described his condition as stable.

Following the incident, officers have said they are on the hunt for the car after it drove off.

Now, M&M Healthcare on the road has said they 'hope to be open' as soon as possible following the incident.

In a social media post, M&M Healthcare said: "Due to there being an incident on Achamore Road the police have cordoned off the street and have anticipated for the road to open at 12pm.

"We hope to be open as soon as the police allow."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 11.05pm on Thursday, April 4, 2024, a 42-year-old man was injured after being deliberately struck by a vehicle on Achamore Road, Drumchapel, Glasgow. 

"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, where medical staff describe his condition as stable. 

"The car drove off after the incident. 

"Enquiries are ongoing to trace the car and the circumstances surrounding the incident."
