POLICE have provided an update after a man was "deliberately" hit by a car in Glasgow.
We previously reported that the hit and run took place on Achamore Road in Drumchapel shortly after 11pm on Thursday, April 4.
A 42-year-old man was rushed to hospital where medics have described his condition as stable.
Following the shocking incident, part of the street was cordoned off with forensics and cops - who were carrying out an investigation.
Meanwhile, a hunt was also launched for the car involved.
Pictures from the scene showed photographs being taken and evidence markers in place on the road and pavement.
Now, the force have revealed the car involved has since been traced.
They have also said an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 11.05pm on April 4, a 42-year-old man was injured after being deliberately struck by a vehicle on Achamore Road, Drumchapel, Glasgow.
"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
"The car drove off after the incident and was subsequently traced.
"Enquiries remain ongoing."
