A UNIVERSITY of the West of Scotland student's concert has raised more than £600 for a local charity.
Olivia MacDonald, 21, donated £686 to Erskine Veterans Charity after single-handedly organising a Coffee Afternoon Concert at The Cornerstone to raise funds.
The event, which was part of her final year dissertation for her Commercial Music degree, featured performances by the Community Choir Singing for Wellbeing, as well as Olivia herself.
She said: “I chose Erskine Veterans Charity because it’s a local charity and it affects many in the community.
"The veterans have sacrificed a lot, so I felt that it is important to give back."

An Erskine spokesperson said: "We would like to thank Olivia very much for her generosity and kindness, in not only organising the concert and singing at it, but for doing so in aid of Erskine veterans."
