POLICE have provided an update after they were called to reports of a man in the River Leven last week.
We previously reported that emergency services had responded to the water near Glasgow Road in Dumbarton at around 6.20pm on Wednesday.
Officers said extensive searches and enquiries have since been carried out and no one was traced.
They added that there is also "no evidence of anyone entering the water".
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to a report of a man in the water in the River Leven near Glasgow Road in Dumbarton around 6.20pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
“Extensive searches and enquiries were carried out by officers but no one was traced and there is no evidence of anyone entering the water."
