A ceremony that is set to mark a monumental milestone for a Johnstone war memorial will be held this week.
The event will take place at 12pm on Friday May 10 at Houstoun Square with members of the community and beyond invited to attend.
The occasion will mark 100 years since the statue was unveiled in the town.
Placed in the middle of the town square is a tall statue of an infantryman standing with a rifle, which was erected in May of 1924 to commemorate those who died during the First World War - with the memorial also remembering those who died during WWII.
As time has passed, the monument has become a beacon of light to pay tribute to those who died in all conflicts, with the bronze statue having wreaths laid at it on Remembrance Day events.
The Provost of Renfrewshire and the Lord Lieutenant of Renfrewshire are expected to be in attendance on the day too.
There will also be a lunch reception in the Lilybank Sports and Social Club afterwards, with those in attendance invited to go along.
