Pupils from North Lanarkshire schools had a glimpse into careers in the science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) fields.

During a recent SmartStems event at New College Lanarkshire's Coatbridge Campus, the pupils had the opportunity to attend workshops and experiments, receive expert advice, and complete STEM-related tasks.

The workshops were a partnership between Commsworld, a telecoms communication provider, and Glasgow-based charity SmartSTEMs.

They also listened to speeches from keynote speakers, including Connor McCloskey, service delivery manager with Commsworld, on what it is like to work in tech during the one-day event.
