A JEALOUS thug pointed a handgun at his ex-partner's head and told her he'd kill her.

Robert Giudici, 41, turned on the woman at her mother's flat in Castlemilk on December 9, 2023.

Giudici was enraged as he believed she was getting picked up at the property by another man.

Giudici went on to produce the black firearm and stated "I'm going to f***ing kill you".

A firearms and air support unit was called for who later traced Giudici to a field and was tasered.

Giudici pleaded guilty today at Glasgow Sheriff Court to assault.

He also admitted having a firearm without holding an air weapon certificate.

The court heard that Giudici and the woman had been in a relationship for 20 years which ended in April 2023.

Giudici moved into the flat above the woman's 63-year-old mum.

The woman took a taxi to visit her when she noticed Giudici standing outside the property.

She was "fearful" and entered her mother's flat but was tailed by Giudici who followed her in.

Prosecutor Redmond Harris said: "In the hallway, he walked towards her in possession of a black handgun and pointed it towards her.

"Giudici acted in an aggressive, threatening manner and said 'was that him here to pick you up?'

"Giudici came towards her and pointed it at her head."

Debbie told her former partner "not to do this".

However, Giudici continued to point the gun at her and told her: "I'm going to f***ing kill you and I'm going to take your f***ing head off."

The woman feared for her life while Giudici continued to make threats which were overheard by her mother.

Giudici then asked: "Were you not away s****ing your boyfriend tonight?

"I will f***ing murder you, you will be in the newspapers tomorrow."

The woman bravely stood up to Giudici and pushed him out the house then told him to leave.

A 999 call was made and specialist firearms officers as well as an air support unit were tasked with finding Giudici.

He was later located in a nearby park and was noted to reach into his waistband.

A taser was deployed on him and he was taken to hospital before he was arrested.

The gun was recovered and it was found to be an air pistol which was not loaded. No pellets were found.

Sentence was deferred pending background reports by Sheriff Barry Divers who continued Giudici's remand in custody meantime.
