A Glasgow man is set to conquer three peaks in the Arrochar Alps Challenge.
Dave McConachie signed up for the challenge as part of his company Bellrock Technology's aim to complete the 11-mile trek to raise funds for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.
The trek, scheduled for August 24, entails climbing a total of 6,250 feet.
The challenge will see a team of climbers, led by chief executive officer Adam Brown, tackle the summits of Ben Narnain, Ben Ime, and the Cobbler (Ben Arthur).
The 59-year-old said: “I saw a social media post from our marketing team and thought this would be a good challenge for a worthwhile cause.
“Then I saw our CEO was doing this, so I thought I’d better get myself on the tour bus.
“I’ve taken on many challenges over the years. I think it’s important, if you can, to give back and help those fortunate than yourself.
“I’m looking forward to finishing the three peaks in a decent time, but more important will be enjoying the camaraderie of other participants and, of course, raise as much as possible for this very worthwhile charity.
“Over the years, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland has helped people I know, and the services and care make a massive difference in helping people regain their independence and freedom.
“If walking can help educate and alleviate some of the issues, it is a step forward for better health.”
To contribute to the total raised by Bellrock Technology, donate via their JustGiving page at https://tinyurl.com/aczth599.
He said one of their values as a business is to give back to communities and to support activities that improve society.
He said: "The Arrochar Alps Challenge is a simple and fun way for us to help promote and raise funds for a fantastic charity here in Scotland."
