Glasgow is soon to play host to a new arts festival.
The Craft Pottery Sister Studio Festival, a ceramic-themed event, will run from September 24 to 29 at the Axiom Building on Washington Street, offering Glaswegians a chance to revel in the world of ceramics.
The festival is an initiative by The Craft Pottery and its sister studio, The Craft Pottery Studio.
Beth Hoad, director of The Craft Pottery, said: “In the nine years we’ve been operating The Craft Pottery, Glasgow’s love of ceramics grow and grow – that’s why we decided to create a festival all about pottery.
“We love working with our sister studio, The Craft Pottery Studio, who will be offering a range of practical workshops and demonstrations throughout the week.
“There are events for people of all skills and experience, so whether you’re a seasoned potter or a complete beginner, we hope there’s something for everyone at our week-long celebration of all things ceramic.”
All bookings for festival workshops and classes can be made at https://tinyurl.com/56rcm2ux.
The festival boasts an interesting mix of ceramic earring making, tile painting, and a cowboy boot and hat class.
There will also be a creative activity to paint your own Croc Jibbitz as well as a hands-on pottery wheel experience with experts.
The festival will also feature the return of a city-wide scavenger hunt where DIY pottery kits will be hidden across Glasgow.
A pottery-themed pub quiz at the studio is also part of the event for those who want to test their ceramics knowledge over a pint.
