A major housing association intends to establish an office in Kirkintilloch by converting flats for this purpose.
Caledonia Housing Association is seeking permission from East Dunbartonshire Council to repurpose flats in Ivanhoe Drive to create a new office.
With almost 200 employees, Caledonia is one of the largest housing associations in Scotland.

Its portfolio includes more than 5,500 social rented homes in eight local authority areas including East Dunbartonshire, and it also provides factoring services to more than 2,300 homeowners.
It has submitted a planning application to EDC which indicates that converting the accommodation to an office will not require the creation of new parking spaces or bin storage as the amount of waste generated under the building’s new function would not change significantly.
