Renfrewshire's month-long Christmas celebrations are set to return this year.
The local authority, in partnership with Scotland's Theme Park, has organised a series of festive events which will also encourage residents to support local businesses throughout December.
The Christmas programme is scheduled to run from Thursday, November 28, to Saturday, December 28, with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The 'popular' outdoor ice rink will make a comeback in a new location at Paisley Cross as well as funfair rides in County Square.
Tickets for these activities, along with information about dates and times, can be found on the Paisley's Christmas website.
Discounts are available for residents with a PA postcode and student or Young Scot cardholders.
To kick off the festive season, a day of live entertainment is planned for Thursday, November 28, in Paisley's town centre.
The line-up includes performances from the Paisley Rock Choir, Turning Point Renfrewshire's Adult Theatre Group, Jennifer Scott Dance, Vision Dance Academy, and local band Proposal.
Renfrewshire's Provost, Lorraine Cameron, along with the winner of her Christmas Card Competition, will officially switch on the town's Christmas lights at 5.30pm.
Pauline Allan, Renfrewshire Council's events manager, said: "We’re delighted to be teaming up with Scotland’s Theme Park again to bring some festive fun to Paisley this Christmas.
"There’s a host of Christmas activity across the town and we want to add to Paisley’s Christmas offer, making a visit to the town centre an ideal choice when you’re planning family days, catching up with friends or out and about Christmas shopping.
"We have some special offers available and we’ll also be running a community day when local groups can enjoy some free ice-skating."
Renfrew’s Christmas lights switch-on event will be on the afternoon of Saturday, November 23, and will return to Renfrew town centre this year.
Johnstone’s Christmas event will take place a week later, on Saturday, November 30, in the town’s Houstoun Square.
Other community-led Christmas events and lights switch-ons will be taking place in towns and villages around Renfrewshire.
The winners of the Provost’s Christmas Card Competition, open to all local school children, are offered the opportunity to switch on the Christmas lights in either Paisley, Johnstone or Renfrew.
This year, in partnership with local charity I Am Me, all cards entered will be sent out to elderly residents across Renfrewshire.
More information about the festive events can be found on the council's website.
