Barmulloch Post Office is set to move to a new location next month.

It will relocate to the Nisa Local at 576 Broomfield Road, Glasgow, on Wednesday, April 9, at 1pm.

The new venue is larger and more modern, with better parking facilities, including dedicated disabled bays.

The current branch at 20 Quarrywood Avenue will close on Monday, March 17, at 5pm.

The postmaster, who will remain the same, is refurbishing the new premises to operate as both a Post Office and a convenience store.

The new location will have two screened Post Office serving positions, providing the same range of services as before.

Alternative branches for residents to use during the interim include Drumbottie Road Post Office at 28 Drumbottie Road, and Provanmill Post Office at 1238 Royston Road.

The Post Office said the move came from the opportunity to relocate the branch into a larger space in a busier retail area, which could increase the retail offering.

The postmaster believes the move will help secure continued local access to services and support the viability of the business.
