Police are keen to track down a man seen carrying an 'object' after a motor was torched in Ayrshire.
Cops are hunting for information after a white Hyundai ixc5 was set alight in the Dick Crescent area of Irvine.
The alarming incident happened shortly before 3am on Tuesday, August 26. Luckily, the blaze was put out by firefighters, and no one was injured during it.
Officers have since revealed they are treating the vehicle fire as wilful, and they are keen to speak to a man seen in the area at the time.
The man was wearing dark trousers, light-coloured footwear, a light-coloured top, and carrying an object.
He left Dick Crescent in the direction of Castlepark Circle.

Detective Sergeant Daniel Small said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are asking for the help of the public.
“Please check any private CCTV to see if you have captured anything that could assist with our investigation.
“If you were driving in the area around the time of the incident, please also check dash-cam for something that could help officers.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0337 of Tuesday, August 26, 2025, or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
