A radio presenter is preparing to handcycle more than 400km in just one week.
Scotland’s Heart Breakfast presenter Grado will take on the challenge, handcycling from Aberdeen to Glasgow to raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise, Heart’s official charity.
The Grado’s Granite to Glasgow challenge will see the presenter handcycling from Aberdeen to Glasgow using only his arms.
He will begin his journey on Monday, October 6, with the goal of arriving at Heart Scotland's broadcast centre in Glasgow by Friday, October 10, in time for Make Some Noise Day.
The charity raises funds for important projects delivered by small charities across the UK, tackling issues such as mental health, disability, poverty and homelessness.

Grado, who joined the Heart Breakfast show in August alongside Des Clarke and Adele Cunningham, is determined to succeed.
He said: “This challenge is not easy, it’s going to push me to my limits but I’m determined to keep going.
“I’d love the listeners to follow every mile and cheer me on when it gets tough.
“We’re doing this for a good cause and the more folk that come on the journey, the bigger the difference we’ll make together.”
Grado will be joined by charity service users and beneficiaries from Spinal Injuries Scotland, a small charity receiving funding from Global’s Make Some Noise.
The non-profit organisation provides education, advice and support for those affected by spinal cord injuries across Scotland.
Suzanne Ryder-Richardson, director of Global Goodness, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Grado for taking on this huge handcycle challenge to raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise.
“Every pound donated to Grado’s Granite to Glasgow Handcycle Challenge will help support vital projects across Scotland, providing a lifeline to those who need it most.
“Right now, so many people are facing some of life’s toughest challenges, from mental health struggles, poverty, homelessness or simply feeling alone.
“Donations have never been more important.
“Grado, we’ll be cheering you on every pedal of the way.”
Specialist personal injury law firm Digby Brown has teamed up with Global’s Make Some Noise to support Grado’s challenge as lead partners.
