A section of a busy motorway has been locked after a number of vehicles have overturned.
Police Scotland announced this evening that the A74 is currently closed at Junction 11 Southbound and Junction 13 Northbound near to Abington in South Lanarkshire following the incident.
It is unknown what caused the vehicles to overturn.
A police diversion is in place but motorists are advised to be aware and consider the conditions if traveling.
The emergency services have been contacted for more information.
