An "abandoned" Linwood property that was "left to rot" by a previous owner has sold for £90,000.

The house, which is situated on Braidwood Place, was privately owned, which created "complications" for both residents and Renfrewshire Council in terms of finding a solution.

We previously reported on how the home, which had been left vacant for around five years, had left neighbours "fed up".

It was claimed the owner had been "nowhere to be seen" for almost half a decade, with "repeated" attempts to contact them being unsuccessful.

However, it appears the situation has now been resolved after the property was recently sold.

Estate agents Slater Hogg and Howison describe the house as "spacious" three bedroom terraced home within the "sought-after" in East Fulton area of Linwood, which is" sure to appeal to a wide range of buyers to include first time purchasers and families alike".
