Retrospective planning permission for parcel lockers outside a Neilston shop has been refused.
East Renfrewshire Council rejected the application from Premier Neilston, which is situated on the area's Main Street.
Officials raised concerns that the parcel lockers could cause "significant noise and disturbance" to nearby residents.
However, the shop has rejected these claims in a social media post.

It read: "We wanted to give you an important update about the InPost parcel lockers outside our store on Main Street.
"Unfortunately, East Renfrewshire Council has recently refused retrospective planning permission for the lockers.
"Their decision was based on concerns that the operation could cause significant noise and disturbance to nearby residents, even though we believe the impact is minimal (the lockers are quiet, electronic, and no louder than everyday high street activity like traffic or shop deliveries).
"These lockers have been a fantastic addition for so many of you – making it super easy to collect and drop off parcels 24/7, reducing missed deliveries, and saving time and hassle.
"We’ve loved seeing how convenient they’ve been for busy families, workers, and everyone in Neilston!
"If you value having this service right here in our community and think it should stay, we’d really appreciate your support.
