Glasgow is forecast to experience a classic February day tomorrow with grey skies, intermittent rain, and temperatures peaking at 9°C tomorrow.

According to the UK Met Office, the city is expected to encounter predominantly cloudy weather with no significant sunshine forecast across the region.

Light rainfall, a common feature during this period, will intermittently disrupt the day, but no heavy downpours are expected.

Instead, residents are expected to see on-and-off light rain and drizzle rather than continuous heavy rain.

This means there will be drier interludes throughout the day, which will be a relief to those out and about, commuting, and making school runs.

The latter part of the day and into the evening will continue with occasional showery rain, although still mostly light.

Throughout the day, the city will feel a touch cooler owing to the easterly or south-easterly breeze, which will be light to moderate, making it feel chillier than the actual predicted temperatures.

The Met Office states that the wind should not be particularly gusty, even in high-level routes or bridges around the city.

No thunder or convective downpours have been indicated in the forecast, reinforcing the expected scenario of a grey, damp day rather than severe weather conditions.

The highest temperatures during the day in the city are forecast to reach around 9°C, then fall back to a low of about 5°C overnight into Wednesday.

However, the presence of clouds, dampness, and a breezy atmosphere will make it feel even colder for those outside.

For people at bus stops, on building sites, or outdoor sports venues, the temperature may feel closer to between 3°C and 6°C.

Visibility is expected to reduce slightly during heavier showers, with mostly wet road surfaces, although not particularly icy.

Persistent dampness can maintain elevated spray levels on major routes such as the M8, Kingston Bridge, and arterial roads.

Despite this, no significant weather-related disruption is anticipated for rail or bus services.

The forecast of routine clouds and drizzle are not likely to issue any warnings or cause major inconvenience.

The southerly wind is expected to abate towards the city, so significant gales are not expected.

Over the next few days, the pattern does not seem likely to deviate greatly.

Although nighttime minimum temperatures are predicted to hover consistently between 4°C and 5°C, maximum daytime temperature is expected to peak at around 8°C in Glasgow, Bishopton, and surrounding areas.

The wind, initially from the east to southeast, is expected to shift more southerly and increase in strength midweek.

The Met Office's general forecast for the western region, including Glasgow, reads: "Another mostly cloudy day with some outbreaks of rain, but also some drier spells with a few sunny intervals possible, especially over the Argyll Islands. Maximum temperature 9°C."

Outlook for the rest of the week appears to be consistent for at least a few days.

Residents can expect a mild spell of winter weather with low levels of air pollution.
