Pundit and longtime critic of Scottish football, Jamie O'Hara, has praised Sunday's match between Rangers and Hearts at Ibrox.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder, who famously said that Stockport County would win the Scottish Premiership, tuned in to watch the top-of-the-table clash between Danny Rohl and Derek McInnes' sides, with the home team running out 4-2 winners.

Taking to social media during the contest at Ibrox, O'Hara waxed lyrical about events in Glasgow, both on and off the park. On his X account, he posted, β€œI’ve dug out Scottish football in the past, but I have to say this Rangers v Hearts match is a proper football match, what an atmosphere.”

Hearts took the lead through Birmingham City loanee Marc Leonard, though the home team responded via Michael Steinwender's own goal. Claudio Braga put the hosts back in front at the half-hour mark, before Youssef Chermiti scored the first of three goals to bring the sides level at half-time.

A further two goals from the Portuguese U21 international sealed all three points for Rohl's side at Ibrox, moving them to within two points of Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Events in Govan followed a dramatic day in Ayrshire, where Celtic came from two goals down to defeat Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. Neil McCann's side got off to a perfect start, as they took a two-goal lead into the break, thanks to Tyreece John-Jules and Jordan Hugill.

However, Martin O'Neill's side would complete a second-half comeback, with goals from Sebastian Tounekti, Benjamin Nygren and Julian Araujo securing the visitors the win in dramatic fashion.
