Celtic's Luis Palma wants to make his loan move to Poland permanent.
The Honduran international winger is on a season-long loan at Lech Poznan.
The Polish club has a clause in the agreement that allows them to buy the Celtic player for £4 million.
However, this purchase would nearly double Lech Poznan's record transfer fee.
They have stated a need for Celtic to reduce their demands for the purchase to be manageable.
The 26-year-old, who still has two-and-a-half years left on his contract with the Scottish side, has made his intent clear.
He is keen to remain in Poland, despite being benched for recent matches by Lech Poznan.
Mr Palma said: "I hope to stay at Lech for a long time."
He also stated that the decision is not entirely his to make.
"I'm doing my thing day by day and I'm very happy about it," Mr Palma said.
"All I can do is keep doing that, but not everything depends on me."
Despite being benched, Mr Palma respects the coach's decision.
"I have been a substitute in recent matches and that's the decision of the manager. But I always have the team's best interests at heart."
He revealed determination to fight back for his spot on the pitch.
He admitted that he is working hard to regain his place in the team.
The winger highlighted the unpredictable nature of football in such circumstances.
