Glasgow area to get extra police patrols amid concerns about 'disorder

An area of Glasgow is to see extra police patrols following concerns over ‘disorder and antisocial behaviour’.

Officers in the West End of the city say they are directing their attention to the Woodlands area in response to the complaints.

Locals have reported concerns about youth disorder and antisocial behaviour.

In response to this cops will undertake additional patrols throughout the weekend.

A spokesperson for the force commented: “This week, we have directed increased attention to the Woodlands area in response to a rise in complaints concerning youth disorder and antisocial behaviour.

“Additional patrols will be maintained throughout the weekend. Should you have any concerns or wish to provide information, we encourage you to engage with our officers directly or contact us at 101.”
