Chris Sutton has aimed a dig at Ally McCoist over his rant about Celtic's fixtures.

The Rangers legend had claimed Celtic 'run Scottish football' as he gave his opinion on how the SPFL appear to have favoured the men from Glasgow's east end after the split.

Leaders Hearts have to travel to Parkhead on the final day of the season, when usually the table toppers at this stage are at home for the last game. While Celtic will play three home games and two away, compared to two home and three away for Hearts and Rangers.

McCoist told talkSPORT: "You couldn't get a bet on them [Celtic] having a home fixture for their final game of the season...

"Well, they are running the thing up here aren't they? That's why. They are absolutely running it, mate. They have got four of the last six at home, and we have got four of six away - you couldn't make it up pal.

"They are playing Hearts in the final game of the season, imagine one of them needs to win to stop us winning the league - do you think it will happen? You better believe it will happen."

But Celtic hero Sutton has hit back, writing on social media: "How dare Celtic have 19 games at home and 19 away…"
