Lewis Capaldi has poked fun at a social media mix-up after an online post claimed he had been “spotted with Kim Kardashian at Coachella”.

The Scots singer, 29, shared his reaction after an account on X confused him with F1 hero Lewis Hamilton in a clip of the racing star dancing with Kim during Justin Bieber’s headline set at the California festival.

The post’s caption read: “Lewis Capaldi spotted with Kim Kardashian at Coachella during Justin Bieber’s set last night.”

Capaldi quote‑tweeted the video and joked: “Wow guys not cool such an invasion of our privacy.”

Fans were left in stitches at his cheeky response. One joked: “Kim Kardashian punching a bit there Lewis,” while another added: “Lewis Hamilton is coming for ya lad.”

A third said: “Keeping up with the Capaldis would be worth a watch. Trips to Scotmid in Whitburn and late night arguments with drunks heading home!” while a fourth wrote: “It must have been such a huge honour to be in the presence of a wonderfully talented human being. I bet Kim was chuffed!”

In a follow‑up message, the Distinct Post account tried to clear things up, writing: “Guys it was a typo. I accidentally promoted Lewis Hamilton to Lewis Capaldi.”

Capaldi has been enjoying a playful few months in the spotlight after making a surprise cameo in Taylor Swift’s Opalite video, which features a host of stars she appeared alongside on The Graham Norton Show, including Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner‑Smith and Graham himself
