Neighbours in a Glasgow community woke to a major police presence this morning after a 25-year-old man was seriously injured in a late-night disturbance on a busy Knightswood street.

Alderman Road in Knightswood has been cordoned off by police for around 10 hours following the incident, which took place around 9.40pm.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers are remaining in the area as they carry out an investigation in the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.40pm on Saturday, 2 May, 2026, we received a report of a disturbance on Alderman Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended, and a 25-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to what are described as serious injuries.

"Officers remain in attendance while enquiries are carried out and anyone with information or concerns is encouraged to approach them."
