Martin O'Neill provides Daizen Maeda injury update

Concerns arose about the player's condition when he walked off with his boot off in the Hibernian clash.

However, O'Neill has now reassured fans about Maeda's health. The manager said, "He’s making good progress. That’s good news. He is definitely doing well.

"We’ve got a few days yet, and he will want to play; there’s no doubt at all about it. He’s had a new lease of life in recent weeks; he’s been terrific for us.

"I think that even at this early stage of the week, I would be very, very confident that he would be on the field."

Maeda, despite not having his best season, has shown signs of returning to form recently. He has made six goal contributions, four goals, and two assists, in his last four appearances for Celtic.

His recent form will be crucial as Celtic chase a Premiership and Scottish Cup double.
