Man in court accused of 'murder' after death of Alistair Brennan

A man has appeared in court accused of ‘murder’ following the death of Alistair Brennan in Clydebank.

Mr Brennan’s body was discovered within a property in the Overtoun Court area of Dalmuir on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Today (May 19), Chris Gates made no plea when he appeared at a private hearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court.

The 28-year-old, whose address is listed as Clydebank, is charged with alleged ‘murder’ and an offence under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Gates was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

He will appear in court again within the next eight days.
